Fullscreen Timer
Use this free fullscreen timer when you need a full screen countdown that is easy to read across a room, on a projector, smartboard, TV, meeting-room display, gym screen, or stream setup. Press F or tap the fullscreen button and the timer expands to fill the available display. Use it when the important thing is visibility: everyone in the room, on the call, or watching the stream should be able to read the countdown quickly without menus, ads, or unrelated page furniture competing for attention. It is the general-purpose large-display route when you know the timer needs to be seen from a distance.
Full screen countdown timer for any display
- ✓Classroom smartboard displays — run bell work, activity stations, clean-up time, and test sections with a timer students can read at a distance.
- ✓Conference and event countdowns — show remaining time before a keynote, workshop, panel, break, or session changeover.
- ✓Gym and workout timers on large screens — display circuits, rests, warmups, cooldowns, and timed challenges where participants need a shared countdown.
- ✓Stream overlays in OBS — use fullscreen sizing during setup, then switch to transparent background or a browser source layout for the live scene.
- ✓Meeting-room screens — keep breaks, ideation rounds, retrospectives, and facilitation exercises on schedule without needing a separate app.
- ✓Kitchen, rehearsal, and studio spaces — put the timer on whichever device is easiest to see from across the room.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I make the timer fullscreen?
Press F on your keyboard or click the fullscreen icon in the controls. The timer fills your entire screen. Press Escape or F again to exit. On iPhone (where Safari, Chrome and every browser share the same engine) tapping the fullscreen button hides the app bars; for a fully chrome-free timer, open the page in Safari and add EasyTimer to your Home Screen from the Share menu.
Does it work on TVs and projectors?
Yes. EasyTimer.app scales to any screen size. For TVs and projectors, open a browser, navigate to EasyTimer.app, and press F for fullscreen.
Can I customise the fullscreen display?
Yes. Open settings to change duration, font, colour, background, size, position, sound, and custom text. The URL stores those settings so you can bookmark or share the exact fullscreen setup for a classroom, event, workout, rehearsal, or stream scene.
Does fullscreen mode work on phones and tablets?
Yes. Mobile browsers handle fullscreen differently, but the timer still expands to use the available screen. For the cleanest iPhone display, add the page to your Home Screen from Safari and launch it like an app.
Can I use fullscreen mode with OBS?
Yes. For streams, you can either capture the fullscreen browser window or use the OBS-specific browser source setup. The OBS timer and OBS setup guide are linked below for that workflow.
Will the timer keep running if I leave fullscreen?
Yes. Fullscreen changes only the display mode. The countdown continues in the browser when you exit fullscreen, switch tabs, or copy the configured URL.
Is this different from the classroom or presentation timer?
The fullscreen timer is the general large-display route. The classroom timer adds teacher-oriented copy and classroom durations, while the presentation timer is tuned for speakers, talks, and event timing.
